The volunteer fire department in Linz gave us a very stern look the first time we turned up at the NATO ramp. On our second attempt, they were gone and we finally had a clear path. At some point the sun came back, just from the wrong direction. That’s the way it is in photography, one thing doesn’t work out and the other goes wrong. But you always end up with a good picture, because as Mrs. Kölbl said so beautifully: “You can’t print excuses”. Nobody complained during production either, the color of the vehicles probably suggested something official. I’ll get to work on the selection right away…
