Photokina is not far away. The number of photo exhibitions is increasing and the creative art scene is excitedly dragging its feet.
You can get a very good overview at Photoszene Köln.
I am also involved in one of these exhibitions:
“Rheine Träume” at The New Yorker, Deutz-Mülheimer-Straße 165, 51063 Cologne.
The exhibition runs just as long as Photokina, from September 16 to 21. The vernissage is on Tuesday, September 16 at 19:00.
I would also like to present another very interesting project here: The Photobook Museum.
Not far from the “Rheine Träume” location in the Carlswerk, it deals with the most important medium for photos, the photo book.
Not only because I helped to promote the project, I recommend a visit to anyone interested in photography more than the trade fair itself, which is “only” about the technology. The museum is only open until October 3rd, Photokina will be back in 2 years.
I myself will be giving a short guided tour for my students on September 17 at 5:00 pm.
Maybe we’ll see you at Café Lehmitz afterwards?
